Cats are very loving animals and they can be quite affectionate. (Yes, you heard us right!) 

Although, each cat has different pawsonalities and they can differ from breed to breed.

So, with that in mind, we’ve decided to compile our Top 10 list of the Friendliest Cat Breeds out there to make your life a bit easier. Sounds good?

1) Persian 

Coming in at number 1, we have the Persian cat. They’re very friendly in nature and known for snuggling up to their owners. 

With their fluffy fur, they loved being stroked and petted and as it turns out they’re quite the attention seekers! 

The Persian cats are also well known for their chubby cheeks, long hair, and quietness. 

If that isn’t good enough, the Persian cat makes a great contribution to any family and is sure to have the whole family saying “awwww”. (Irresistible, we know!)

2) Ragdoll 

Up next, we have the Ragdoll. They’re known for their silky-like fur and bright blue diamond eyes. It can’t really get better than that, right?...

… Oh yes, we ain’t done here! 

Apart from their beautiful eyes, they’re also known to be very laid-back and affectionate pawsonality. (That won’t be the last time you hear that).

Known for their being a dog-like-cat you can be sure to have a new stalker on your hands…

3) Exotic Shorthair 

At spot number 3, we have the Exotic Shorthair! They have a very gentle and calm pawsonality. 

The Exotic Shorthair is a short-haired version of the Persian. Crazy, right? 

They’re in many ways the same. The Exotic Shorthair shares a very similar pawsonality and appearance. (Yes, they’re just as cute!)

However, there are differences. The Exotic is known to love their playtime more than the Persians. 

Not only that, but they also have like the name suggests less hair which means that your furry friend needs less grooming.

Coming in at number 4, we have the friendly giant aka the Maine Coon! The big cats are a wonderful breed that is known for being gentle giants. 

The Maine Coon is also the world's largest house cat and can reach a length of up to 40 inches.

Even though, the Maine Coon is big and can come across as intimidating don’t be fooled. The feline is one of the most loving and affectionate breeds out there!

With its distinct ears and lovely spirit, the Scottish Fold makes the number 5 spot! 

Not only does the Scottish Fold have distinct ears but they also have big rounded eyes making you question what “cute” actually means.

The Scottish also bonds extremely well and are known to be very affectionate toward their owners.

At number 6, we have the Sphynx. This breed will have you looking twice with it’s a special look. 

Sphinxes are known for enjoying the limelight. They really make you question the phrase “man’s best friend” with their playfulness and close bonding with humans.

At number 9, we have the Siamese.
